Question:
Years ago I had a abdominal hernia, can they still do a stomach bypass or not?

A office worker said I maynot be able to get a op if they used mesh. I have to now go to the hospital and get a not from them saying it's operable. Other than that That's all that's wrong.    — Naes Wls J. (posted on October 2, 2002)

I had hernia surgery in 1997, the doctor had to use the mesh. I told my WLS doctor and he said it would be know problem but the surgery might take a little longer. I had WLS August 28, 2002 and was out of surgery in about 2 hours. No complications at all.
