Question:
OK, this is embarassing....but I need help here! I am 3 months post-op LAP RNY and

have little to no sex drive. Where did it go??? I am taking Nexium and Carafate for an extremely large ulcer and of course all the usual vitamins (iron and B-12 also). I have been happily married for 7 years now and had a wonderful sex life before the surgery. Now, it seems that I just dont want to, or it is VERY difficult to become "satisfied". Is this normal??? Does it have something to do with the surgery??? I would really love to hear from anyone who has gone through this. Will my drive come back?? Sandra, Have patience. If you are in need of assurance, consult your Doctor. Don't be shy, after all that's what he's there for. To help. I'm sure it's not gonna be as bad as you think, so go ahead & ask you Doc, it will be a load off your mind. Janet

Hi Sandra. I am pre-op so you can take my advice with a grain of salt, but anytime you are taking new meds, this should be where you first look. Contact your doctor or even a pharmacist and just ask. Good luck.
