I didn't have this done, but I believe it's called a facia wrapping (not totally sure on the spelling). The reason the dr does this is to keep the pouch small. After surgery our pouches are teeny tiny, but they expand naturally. This is why drs often say the *honeymoon* phase is the first 6 months to a year, before our pouches relax. Relaxing pouches are normal and not anything anyone does to stretch them. what your dr does is wrap a pc of your body (less rejection) around the pouch so it stays small. This will actually keep you eating less much longer. The thought is this will keep people from expanding their pouches and outeating the surgery. good luck!
