Question:
I WANT WLS BUT HAVENT BEEN TO THE DR IN A FEW YEARS...GOT A QUESTION

i have a bmi of 50.1 and i weigh 265..and stand 5'1...i havent been to a PCP in 3 yrs because of lack of insurance...im trying to get the surgery through vocational rehab...is this going to mess my chances of getting it up? alos...i have to have a thyroid test done...if its abnormal can they still do the surgery? thanks in advance..    — cinamoni (posted on April 17, 2003)

I had not been to any Dr for 10 yrs til I started researching wls! Now I have insurance and have seen a pcp often, I have a wls Dr, and am due for wls May 13! I did all my pre op tests last week! Good luck!
