Question:
Have any post-ops experienced painful bumps on their tongues?

I am five days post-op, and this morning when I woke up my tongue was really sore and felt rough. It is very pink and the taste buds are huge and hurt constantly. Help!    — Lydia S. (posted on February 1, 2003)

I had something similar after surgery - it was thrush, a yeast infection caused by the antibiotics. I showed my Dr. and he prescribed some nystatin - swish and swallow 4 times a day for a week. It finally cleared up.
