Most doctors will want to see you a week after your surgery and then another appointment one month after surgery. At the one month appointment your doctor will evaluate your weight loss to that point and ask you questions about how hungry you are, ask how much food you are eating and whether or not it makes you full. Based on this information they may or may not do a fill. The doctor will want to see you monthly for the first six to eight months after y our surgery to continue to evaluate you and to determine what is the right fill for you, often called your "sweet spot", the spot where you are feeling full and eating the right amount of food and your weight loss is slow, but steady (1 to 2lbs. a week). I hope this helps!
