I've been approved for lap-band!! Thank you Jesus!! :)
Hey Everyone I completed my 6-mo medically supervised diet last Tuesday. I been callining BCBS TRS Active care everyday since the day my Dr office said they submitted paperwork which was last Thurs evening. Finally today I spoke to a woman named Emily who confirmed I HAD BEEN APPROVED FOR LAPBAND. She said Merry Christmas you got an early gift good luck hope all ends well!! I thanked her and called back 15min later & spoke to a woman named Sabrina who also confirmed. I'm still in shock! I can't believe it. I asked them for an approval # but they said they are in the process of generating my acceptance letter so I dont have an approval # yet and it had just been approved not even like 5min before. I called my Dr office & told them the news & they said they are awaiting the hard copy but will place me in the approved catergory so I can get pre-op test done. If anyone has any suggestions to me please feel free to pass them on. I dont have any complications or co-morbidities. Just fairly young (27) & severley overweight. Hi Candice,
I just wanted to say "You Go Girl" I was banded on 10/26/07
and have lost 28 pounds. My husband was banded 5/17/07 and has lost 92
pounds. You will be to goal before you know it. Take care, Merry

congras on your approval!!!! i know how you feel, because i went through a
lot prior to getting approved for my surgery. your youth will help you
alot- mine did (i'm 26 and had RNY Oct.1st) you will be soo glad you did it
and once you start losing you are not gonna believe how good you feel. good

Candice girl congratulations!!!! I know the feeling. I got banded on Oct
11 07 and have lost 31lbs so far. I feel so so great and have so much seft
esteem now. The pre-0pt testing is a lot. you'll need the whole day. If
you follow your surgeons instructions you'll do just fine. Welcome to the
loosers bench girl.
