Hi,I'm 7 mo out and still have some tenderness. I asked my M.D. he said this is normal and my always have some tenderness because it is sewen into the muscle. Also the more weight you loose when you lay on youre tummy like I do you will feel it more. I hope this helps somewhat. Diane

I am 5 months out also - but do not have tenderness. Recently at the gym while using the Cybex machine where you twist with weights from side to side - I could feel it pulling when I turned to the left - but not to the right. I was concerned that I might be tearing something loose. Dr said not to worry - that it is sewn into the muscle in those 4 holes in the band. He said he has seen some work by some of the Mexico Dr's and they have only sewn it into one of those holes (the holes are at 12 3 6 and 9 around the band). So unless you had yours done in Mexico - most likely everything will be fine. Also did you recently have a fill - sometimes - it will be a little tender after a fill because of the inflammation. How much have you lost? I have lost 42 pds. My 5 months out will be in 9 days. Best Wishes - CJ

Well, I hate to tell ya, but I'm one and a half years out and still feel it a bit. My P.A. said that it's probably because when it was sewn into the muscle, the Dr. might have also grabbed a nerve. It's not bad, just slightly annoying esp. when I exercise a lot, but I think I'm just gonna have to get used to it. It's never debilitating or anything like that. My weight loss far outweighs (no pun intended) the slight annoyance. 5 more pounds and I'll reach the 100 pound mark! Good luck to you!

If you don't think it is scar tissue, what do you think it is?
