I'm not sure about the valley, I live in the bay area. I have Blue Cross
PPO and it did not cover my dietician eval. I had to pay cash. It was
only $50 or $60. I had my surgery in So Calif. and my physician refered me
to a dietician he uses in So Calif. We did everything over the phone. I
do know that B/C paid 90% of my surgery. I was very happy about that. Do
you have a surgery date? Which physician are you using? Good luck to you.

I too live in the 209 area code and I had to pay for mine.. I have B/C as
well...

i've worked in insurance (both sides of the fence) for more years than i
care to admit.
with insurance plans you get from employers, where you live does not matter
as much as what plan the employer purchased.
i can live right next door to another person who has BCBS as well, but mine
could be out of Indiana, and his out of New York. we both could have BCBS
of IN, but have completely different plans.
for the most accurate info, you are better off calling the customer service
number on your card.
