I think you meant to say, Do you continue to see your surgeon and who pays
for that. If your insurance paid for the surgery, you should go in 6
months again and then every year for an annual check-up if you had a RNY.
With an RNY there are things that need to be checked that only a bariatric
profession will know about. As to a lab band, I think you have to go for
fills when you see that you are eating more and not losing as much as you
felt you needed to until you have lost all your weight and are to goal
weight. If you ment something else, repost your question with more

I'll guess at the meaning of your question. I have an insurance company.
They assigned another surgery practice to do the surgery. I met all the
qualifications and the surgery was done. I had follow up visits and lab
work with my surgeon and my primary care physician at 1 week, 1 month, 3
months, and 6 months. After that my primary insurance wants reviews and
labs at 9 and 12 months and then every 6 months. The outisde surgeon is no
longer in charge after 6 months, except is if a case has a complication
that requires his expertise. Each insurance carrier has their own policies.
If you're self pay, then I'd opt to pay for routine checkups at least
every 6 months, possibly one at 9 months too. You'll have to pay for labs
and a doctor consult on this self pay bases,
