Question:
Thigh Lift Financing

Good morning everyone!! I have just been notified that I have been approved for a panniculectomy from my insurance company. I am so excited and am scheduled for surgery on April 4th, 2006. I wanted to have a thighplasty done at the same time. It is approved to do the procedures at the same time by my surgeon, but my insurance will only pay for the panniculectomy. I am trying to find financing options or ideas on how to pay for the thighplasty. The procedure will cost $3530.00 out of pocket. Any ideas on how I can go about paying this? Anyone use a financing company they can reccommend? Please keep in mind when answering; I am a single parent with limited income. I can afford a monthly payment, but my credit is not so great. Erin, I financed my weight loss surgery through CitiFinancial, and it was an easy process. You can also do a search online for surgery financing. That is how I found CitiFinancial. Good luck with your surgery. Shelly

You could borrow from friends or family, if you have flexpay at work you could use that, you could borrow from your 401K at work, I took a 2nd job and saved the money from that job to go just for plastic surgery. I relize you are a single mom, but if you own your home, take out a 2nd. Have a yard sale, it is also tax refund time, you have alittle bit of time and $3500 is not alot of money, BTW, it is a good price for what you are getting.

Congratulations on your pending surgery! I don't have ana nswer for the financial stuff, I am having my panni on April 5th and wish I could afford the $3000 to have my arms done. My financial status prohibits a loan of any kind and 2 months is not enough to earn it with a second job and I don't think I will be getting a tax refund either. I will have to be happy with the panni for now. i am excited and scared about it. I am afraid it won't be as good of an outcome as I hope, not so much scared about complications. Erin, Capital One has a finance program that you can check into. Also, if you have a 401k plan, you can borrow from yourself. I wish you the best. Dana

Erin, Congrats on your approval for a panni. What was the process for coming to get Blue to approve? I would like to try for approval. Any help and info would be greatly appreciated! Rebecca

Congrats on the surgery!!! I wish you the best. One thing, are you sure you want the panniculectomy? That just basically cuts the excess skin off..the abdominoplasty offers more because they also go in and 'cinch' the abdominal muscles back together and tighten more. Good luck!
