Question:
Any post-ops who had assistance through Texas Rehab Commission, did you get to pick

your surgeon after you were approved for assistance? I have been denied twice and am awaiting a call for an appointment to see if I can qualify for TRC assistance. What I am wondering is if anyone got approved for the assistance under one doctor but then changed to another doctor?    — [Anonymous] (posted on July 2, 2001)

I'm not yet post-op - still waiting on my approval, but yes, I have gotten to choose my own surgeon. A friend who just had hers done through TRC also got to choose her own surgeon. Good luck! It only took my friend 3 weeks from start to approval, but it's taken me over 4 months so far. Keep at it!
