I need a Kaiser PCP in Salem Oregon who is WLS friendly.. please help....

Hi Dawn, I don't have Kaiser in Oregon, mine is in Northern CA. I think something your friend could try is get 3 or 4 names of PCPs that are even taking new patients. Find out what their email addresses are (all Kaiser physicians in Northern CA have email...don't know about Oregon) and just say right upfront, I'm a new patient and I'm interested in WLS. Do you refer patients for WLS? There's no reason to be afraid to ask for what you want right off the bat. Another thing, tell your friend to request the little booklet Gastric Bypass Surgery for Serious Obesity from Kaiser's Health Education department. It tells you exactly what Kaiser requires in order to get approved for the surgery. They're very strict. Much good luck with this. Hugs, Joy
