Question:
what to tell nutristionist who wants you to join their program instead?

I am having trouble finding a nutristionist who will work with me without trying to sell me their program.I have been to two nutristionist and they both told me that they wouldn't give my doctor a letter of approval, they both feel that all these doctors just want to make money and that their program will work out better for me. When I explained that I've tried every diet, they said"But you haven't tried my diet". What do I tell them to make them understand that I know the risk and I feel this is best for me. I had this same problem although it was the endocrinologist. Please see my profile. I floored him with an overabundance of information along with getting him to admit that 80% of his patients failed his diet within 5 years. Good luck!

Fire their @sses! This is what I was told to do: call your surgeon and ask for the dietician that owrks with them. If they don't have one, call EVERY surgeon in the area and ask for the name of their nutrit. until you find one. My doc says that the nutrit. is supposed to make sure you are apprised of how your dietary intake will change and talk about your current and future needs with wls.
