Kathy S---over the past few days you have posted many interesting posts concerning WLS. However, you never site your sources. You never say where you are getting this information. To say, it is "from people that specialize in the psychological aspects of wls obesity," isn't enough information. Who are these "people?" All the informaion you have posted is great info, but without knowing the source, it's absolutely meaningless. Thank you for taking the time and caring enough to post, but please site those sources! Take care....

As far as this article on PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF OBESITY is concerned, I probably should NOT have posted it. I was a psychology major in college and found the article somewhat interesting. I thought that maybe there were others on AMOS that might be interested, too. I was not thinking that there might be a lot of people that really did not want to read it, also. Sorry about that! Kathy, you better keep posting, gal! I look forward to you sharing articles you've found. Often I don't have the time to look up such references, spending most of my time reading materials that pertain to my job (I am a Psychologist at an Army Dug and Alcohol center). Keep up the good work!

This was so helpful to read. It has helped me put my own psychological issues into perspective. One thing I'd add. I noticed recently that when I take medications or supplements that contain ephedra it has a negative effect on my psychology. I've decide that speed, even natural speed can push me from the number 1 category into the number 2 category fast. I believe this has cost me a job and many friends. I would really like a better option.
