Did anyone here wear their extended-wear contact lenses in to surgery?

Yes, I wore my extended wear disposable contact lenses down to the OR> At Mt. Sinai (NYC), we walk down to the OR suite and hop onto the table under our own steam. The last thing I did before being intubated was remove and throw out my lenses. I had my glasses with waiting for me in my room with my belongings. You would not want to leave your lenses in during surgery or early recovery.
