Question:
How long before incision pain (top) ends?

I find I have pain at the top of my incision, not sure if it is from eating. I am wondering how long before the pain of the incision stops. Also, I think the bra may aggrevate it, any suggestions.I will call my doctor if it persists.    — Robbyn B. (posted on April 3, 2004)

Robbyn, I had my surgery 2-10-04 and I too found that my bra was irritating, you could: not wear one, wear an all cotton sports bra or pad the incision with some gauze/ tissue ect.. I did all three. The pain should stop about three weeks after surgery eight at the most.

I folded a wash cloth in half and put between my bra strap and my incision. It really helped out and kept my bra from rubbing and irritated my incision while it was healing.
