Question:
Why at 7 months out am I just starting to have nausea?

I am almost 7 months out and I have just started having nausea (worse in a.m.) and randomly throughout the day. I also am having more acid indegestion at night. I never had any of this before. I am on the pill, so I can't be pregnant. Is my pouch changing?    — Jamie R. (posted on October 17, 2003)

I started having this about seven months out with a lot of left upper abd. pain. I was vomiting every time I ate. I had an endoscopy yesterday and Dr. Steiner found a big old nasty ulcer. Call your doctor.

I started having severe nausea at about 6 months and had an endoscopy done. A stitch had worked its way into the pouch and was blocking the stoma. The doctor clipped it and solved the problem. About a month later I started having problems again but the endoscopy was fine. Turns out that I have diverticulosis (an aging problem - nothing to do with the surgery) andwent on some medication for a couple of months and have been fine since. Call your doctor.

I thought the same thing...I am going in for a c-section November 17th...I'd say see the surgeon...it could be something else...

I started the same thing with the nausea at about 8 month. I really couldn't eat anything without feeling sick for 2-3 weeks. It turned out to be just a phase. But, you should see your surgeon anyway to make sure. It's always best to let them know what's going on. P.S. Just because you on BC doesn't mean you can't be pregnant. I currently have TWO friends who got pregnant while on BC. You might want to check it out. Just a thought.

You could be having some pouch issues like an ulcer for instance but I would take a pregnancy test to rule it out. More than one person on these boards has gotten pregnant on the pill post op.

I was having the same problem... My doctor said it was heartburn. He gave me reglan and prilosec and it stopped in about a couple weeks. He didnt indicate why it happened, just fixed it.
