Question:
I have my first period since surgery....should I expect scales to be steady

I got my period the day home from the hospital, which I hear is normal. Well, 4 weeks later it is right on schedule which is good. Now I never lost weight before during this week but would drop it later....is this what I should expect this week? (Guys...sorry about the topic!)    — Sharon B. (posted on June 17, 2003)

Hi! It seemed as I was losing, that I wouldn't lose the week before or the week of my cycle, and then I'd drop alot during the following 2 weeks. My loss would vary by month, also, one month losing 12-15lbs, and then the next only 7-9lbs. It would flip-flop back and forth. Good luck! Denise 316/153

I was 146 yesterday (11 months post-op to the day!) and "old faithful" showed up and brought me back to 149...I would suspect every woman is a bit different, but you will still have bloating and retention. Surgery 7/16/02 , size 24, weight 253.5, Now: size 6/8 149
