Question:
Need post-op follow-up in Lawton/Duncan, Oklahoma area.

We are moving from California to Oklahoma and are 7 weeks post op. Does anyone know of a good primary care physician in the Lawton or Duncan, Oklahoma area that's familiar with RNY?    — jnc (posted on April 10, 2003)

Hi, I live in Wichita Falls, Texas. It is about 45 minutes South of Lawton. There is a WLS surgeon that many people from Lawton use here in Wichita Falls. His name is Dr. Warnock. I am 4 weeks post-op. We also have support group meetings here once a month and many people from Lawton come for those as well. Dr. Warnock has been doing this surgery for over 27 years with only 3 losses. He does approx 40 open RNY's a month and he does the surgery in 40 minutes. Almost all of his patients are home after 3 days and is eating food on day 4 (not a lot but it is food.) At 2 weeks post-op I was able to eat anything I wanted except rice, noodles, bread, cakes, and candy. Down 28 1/2 lbs and 15 inches.
