Question:
I started at 5'4 and 230 lbs

Hi Everyone: I started my weight loss journey at 5'4", 230 pounds. Are there any other sort of shorties at approximately the same size in the beginning. How was your weight loss? How much did you lose each month? Thank you so much for your input. Love ya all. Love Grace    — Grace H. (posted on November 22, 2002)

Hi Grace, I started at 5'3" (actually, I still am 5'3"!!) and 249. In 9 1/2 months, I have lost about 89 pounds. I'd like to lose 15 or so more to get to original goal. Look at the bottom of my profile for the month by month of how much I lost. There are others that have lost faster, but I am soooo pleased with my progress to date. It has slowed down alot, just a few pounds a month now, but thats fine with me. Wearing size 12 and small tops and loving it!

Hi Grace, just another success story, hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging, but I feel I've been so blessed. I had open RNY on May 14, 2001. I started out at 4'11" and 252 lbs. I hit my first goal of 147 in less than 12 months and now after losing 140 lbs, I'm still 4'11" but I weigh 112 lbs. and can wear a size 4. I've maintained 112-117 since June. WLS is really a tool, but finally one that works. It truly saved my life. Good Luck and God Bless you...
