Question:
Should I be concerned about protein in my urine?
I had a urine test at the Dr. the other day and they said that it showed a trace of protein, is this something that I should be worried about? I take 4-6 Darvocet a day for other problems that I have been having...I have been taking this for several months now. I have to go back tommorrow to get my urine checked again. — Brenda V. I don't think you need to worry about trace protein, have the test
repeated. If there is any question, your doc will do a 24 hour urine
collection and do a more definitive test for protein. If you have
diabetes, this needs to be monitored yearly. It is called
microalbuminuria.

I, too, spill protein in my urine, but I have a kidney problem, had it
about 10 for years. If it doesn't clear up, see a specialist. Good luck.
