Question:
Lab Results- What's Normal?
Can anyone direct me to where I can find a listing of normal ranges for 6 month labs? I am having my results mailed to me, but I don't know what to look for, because I don't know what normal or preferred ranges are for everything. Thanks so much! — Mary W. (posted on October 18, 2002)

Mary, most labs will print the results of your test and then out to the
side will include the normal range. Also, this range differs from lab to
lab. This is a site I found that explains all kinds of different test, but
they do not include reference ranges. Pretty good info overall:

Normal lab results are fairly standardized from facility to facility;
however, there may be a small difference. When you get your lab results,
it will give you YOUR result, and then off to the right it should have what
the normal range is.
