Question:
Anyone know of a PCP in NH that is WLS supportive/sensitive?

Currently do not have a PCP that I've been to long term, or knows me well. I would like to establish a PCP that will be supportive and sensitive to my wanting WLS and the after care involved. Looking for referrals in New Hampshire.    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 12, 2001)

Just this week, my PCP, Dr. Katherine Sheffield at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Keene, has sent her referral to my insurance company. I have only seen hwe twice, and the first time was only 3 months ago. I brought up the surgery, not her. Not that I expected this to be easy, and I have a long road ahead, but, aside from her suggestion of seeing a Dietitian (which I have, twice) and generally discussing the issues with her, she didn't make me jump through any hoops, or make me feel bad for wanting to choose this route. Good luck with your choice! KW
