Does anyone have experience with an infrared sauna post-op?

I have a friend who has recently purchased an infrared sauna for his home. He swears it is the most amazing thing. One of the primary perks of this sauna (according to their documentation) is that the infrared heat, coupled with the type of wood they use, promotes de-toxification of your system and skin. They say that this detoxification helps increase skin elasticity. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of sauna, and if those claims are true, or just expensive bunk. I've contacted the company (health mate sauna) and there are no gyms or day spa's that have this type of sauna installed in the area - the only option is to buy one for your home. It's surisingly small (44" wide, 36" deep, 72" tall), but it's still a 3K investment. So, if anyone has any experience, could you let me know? Thanks! Tanya
