Why do insurance weight limits differ from Met Life height & weight tables?

At 5'8", my insurance company says I would need to be at least 100 lbs over 153lbs. The Metropolitan Life Height & Weight Tables list a range from 132 - 154. Does anyone know why they pick the top number from the range and whether they are flexible on that? I currently have Guardian PHCS, but also have the opportunity to switch to Aetna in April. Guardian requires 2x body weight and Aetna requires 100 lbs or more.
