Ola..best of luck on your up coming surgery. I just had mine at Magee last week on May 5th. The surgical teams there are the best, so you are in very good hands. When you 1st get out of surgery the nursing staff and aids are very attentive. My only suggestion to you is to have a family member present the next day or 2 that you are in to act as your advocate. Unfortunately, I was alone as my husband had to work. I found that the night-time staff was much more accomodating than the daylight nursing staff...could be just due to the fact that they were understaffed or something...not sure. But theres a WONDERFUL nurse on the night shift named Sue..shes the absolute BEST...very caring and understanding. Some of the other nurses cant say the same...but I guess thats the way it is anywhere....some people are just wonderful at what they do and to others its just a job. Best of luck to you. I understand that Dr Mattar is great..so you are in good hands! I had Dr Hamad and she was wonderful..cant say enough good things about her. Take care and ((hugs))

~~~~CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY. ~~~~ May God give you courage, strength and guidance throughout your new journey. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run. Prayers that the Lord will guide your surgeon’s hands and you have a speedy recovery. . May the Lord keep you close to his side as you begin your new life. I pray for a successful surgery and an easy outcome. You will find great joy and success in your new journey. It's a fabulous and exciting new life you'll experience. You will experience ups and downs. It's okay, it's normal. Remember your AMOS family will always be there for you.
