Teresa, I to had (have) a problem with eating too fast until I have to throw up. So uncomfortable. I literaly had to take hubby's watch and count 2 minutes between bites. Take SMALL bites. Eventually you learn but dang its so hard to break old habits. I was scared there for a while that I would unintentionally make myself anorexic but I'm finally getting the hang of it. I can pretty much eat what I want just in moderation and by eating SLOW and chewing good. Just like everyone was telling me too LOL. But darn I didn't listen. Good luck and God bless. Jamie (RNY April 23. 2003 - 75 lbs).

Girl, I know what your talking about, Those constipation pains will kick butt, LOL I didn't ever go to the hospital but I know how those pains hurt, what I do is I drink prune juice, atlease once a week. and for me it keeps everything just fine. I try not to take meds for my bms. But did when I first came home. Now the juice does the job. Take care hope this helps~*~Hugs~*~

Having wls is a big decision to make.....You have made the right one. CONGRATS!!.. Heres to an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. It is the best thing I could have ever done for myself and I bet you'll feel the same way too. Remember small bites, chew like theres no tomorrow, get tons of H2O, and dont forget that protein! Happy re-Birthday!!!!

I have a 4 year old and the way we told her is anything we do in life has a risk, but we take the risks to make life better and this surgery will make me better and alot happier and healthier... She tried to understand but still alittle young yet. On another note if you don't feel confortable then maybe this isn't the right time for you... Hope this helps. Nicole.

Teresa, congratulations on getting a date!! Spend this time wisely, reading everything you can about the physical and emotional aspects of this surgery, and being as prepared as you can. Knowledge is power, and the more power you have, the faster you will heal and be well.
