How do you change our train of thought?

Crap. I feel so frustrated. I keep sabatoging myself. I am having a very difficult time in changing the way I think of food at meal time. Instead of making sure what I am having is healthy I grab what ever is there and think nothing of it.
What works to change your train of thought. How in the world did you ever retrain the brain to stop..and think. Instead of just doing things out of habit?
