More pics!!

This is the day that we drove (hey, I had unlimited mileage on the only car left available for rental--the CONVERTIBLE!) winding, long, hard road trip up the side of Haleakala "House of the Sun" one of the two dormant volcanoes that the valley of Maui lies between. Haleakala is the earth's largest dormant volcano.

  That was just warm up for the BIG trip -- the MUST see of all Maui -- the Road to Hana, a road that winds along the coastline of the eastern, and more tropical (wet/rainforest) side of the island.

  Mr. Meat samples some local homemade chocolate/chili and lilipoi (passionfruit) icecream (bought at a roadside stand) right from a coconut bowl with coconut spoon.
