I called Dr. Macik's office and asked for their referral of a nutritionist and a physiologist. I suggest doing this, b/c they know what the doctors are looking for and you can ask them their thoughts on the doctor. We met with Rachel at Noormid Nutrition. She was great and because me and my husband are doing this together we wanted to both meet with her at the same time. We decided not to report it to insurance b/c it would go toward our $5000 limit so they gave us a deal for both coming together they knocked off a few hundred dollars. We were there for a little over an hour and learned a lot! Did you know you have to take chewable vitamins after surgery? We had no idea. The liquid diet...its going to be tough but we are committed and ready. I also had no idea you weren't suppose to drink while you eat. That's going to be hard too, but this whole process is going to be hard.
