Negativity

I have been really concerned and worried all weekend after reading some really upsetting and negative posts.  Those from Kerry especially about RNY being about butchery and the docs only doing it for the money.  That there are no people out there with succesful RNY's 5-10 or 15 years out.  That he lieved 28 years of hell before having a revision to a DS. 
How do we sift fact from personal attitudes?  these boards are supposed to be helpful and hopefully factual.  I know that everyone has a choice and we all like to think we are making the right choice.  And what is right for one is not right for all, but posts like this are very scary.
