Doctor's visit coming...

This Thursday, Jan 7th, I have my first surgeon's visit. I have ordered everything that they have asked for, weight history, medical records and the like. Psych eval is done and submitted and they said it is great - the evaluator indicates that I am a prime candidate as I'm very motivated, disciplined, and have tried everything else in the past to try to lose the weight.They won't submit insurance approval request until after this visit. I get the feeling they aren't telling me everything. I'm supposed to get other tests, liver, scans and such, but how can they submit without those? If they forgot to tell me to get those ordered through my primary doctor, I'll be one unhappy bandcamper!
Part of me is getting impatient and really wants to get this started. Yet, another part of me just knows it's out there on the horizon and doesn't really think of it too much. Time goes by so quickly anyway, it'll be here before you know it either way, but I just really do want to have the surgery part over with. This is probably due to the fact that I would like to have this underway before Spring comes and I start wearing nicer clothes and want to feel and look much better before the warmer weather comes.
I did lose 12 lbs recently when my primary doctor changed my diabetes meds. I was on Glucophase, which gave me horrific GI distress symptoms - I was chained to the toilet - and she changed me to Glumetza (sp?). The symptoms were gone and weight just started falling off. I am never hungry and I have to force myself to eat to keep my blood sugar even. My glucose readings are also down 30 points which is great and I feel a lot better! I never feel hungry, just kinda empty. When that feeling comes I try to eat a little something with protein and I feel great again. The weight has platued at 224 and that's fine. I've had to take in my pants, but soon, hopefully, the surgery will come and this will all be moot.
