Making progress

Dec 09, 2010

I am down about 41 lbs since July - I am happy about that. I wish it were more, but I'm starting to feel a little better. Definitely makes a difference in  my work suits - they are fitting a little better.

I found out tonight that the wait time for having surgery after I finish Options in February, is several months, and could possibly take until July. That - I'm not too happy at all. I feel like someone told me it's never going to happen. I'm not very good or optimistic about long term planning.

But I'll live. More time to lose weight, get in better shape, blah blah. I wanted to plan a cruise for September, so I'm just going to cross my fingers I can have surgery sooner than July. I don't want to take a cruise until I've lost a substantial amount of weight. The last cruise I went on, while it was nice, I felt like a fat cow out at the pool, and I couldnt do a lot of excursions because of weight restrictions. I want to have the freedom, and the stamina, do whatever I want and make it worth the money. I'd love to go try kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, etc. I want to be able to walk a couple miles and explore and not die (or feel like dying).

My goal is regardless of any surgery is to aim for 3lbs a week, so either way by September, I should be down a lot of weight.  I've been eating 1500-1800 calories for the last month and working out, and 3lbs is reasonable.

As soon as I recover from the "DEATH FLU" then my works out can resume. Sucks being sick.
