SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!  Hi Doll~!   x0x0x0

I cried ...ok ok got chokey when i read your response.  I am sooOOooo happy to hear from you. How is your journey???

I am officially sick, yep the flu and had just a mild fever of 99.8 yesterday. I still have severe body aches and my head is pounding.

Thank you for the reminders. Its comforting and that is the part I started to get chokey.

Plastics was something I was thinking for the last couple of years.  I dont think I am rushing into it. I think its time.

I have been analyzing my body the last 24 hours being sick home and in bed.  I have so much lose skin that actually I am a tiny person if the skin was removed.  I dont want to be skinny skinny and do want to be at a certain weight even if i play with 5 pounds. I am 5'6 and not in my 20's anymore.  a little weight or curves is ok with me.

I have been thinking about all this and I still am going to go through with it.  The only way I will postpone surgery,  would be due to me being sick and if a cold breaks out or upper respiratory infection. it would only be a 2 to 3 week delay.

I have watched many people here get plastics 6 to 9 months out still in the losing stage (never understood that) but it worked for them.

Thank you thank you for your kind words...  i soooOOo appreciate you...

Well, you've just been through the wringer, haven't you!

20 pounds shouldn't make any difference in your results if you lose it after the surgery.  I think that's the outer limit of where most plastic surgeons are comfortable.

Scars - well, you're gonna have them.  It's a trade-off for getting rid of the skin and that's the real decision that you have to make, because once the scars are there, they're there.  I've had a LBL and I'm recovering from a thigh lift.  The LBL was a year and a few months ago.  The scars are faint, thin, and low (at least in front), but they're visible.  From what I've seen, the breast scars seem to heal really well.  And you'll have tiny scars from the lipo as well.  I can't tell you whether to do the surgery or not, but I will say take a good hard look at your body and make sure you really can't live with the skin before you dive in.  There's no "nip and tuck" about it - it's more "skinned, cut, and put back together."

For all my warnings, I'm glad I did what I've done.  I still plan on continuing later this year with arms/breasts and neck.  But it's not for the faint of heart and the scars are definitely an issue.

I agree... losing 20 post op shouldn't cause too much sag (if any).  I am tight as a drum and weighed about 10 pounds less then I do at the moment- not even a hint of sag.

thats what I was thinking, it shouldnt make a difference. I have new weight and I am not that much bigger.  I have been pretty stable for last couple of years.  all i did was change my diets from clean eating, green smoothies to crap food and sugar.  steroids triggered it and its not like me to eat that way. It hasnt been that long.

I talk about the scars because its real for me and almost have my head wrapped around it.. Thank you for your wonderful support and feedback

yeah the trade off..  I have been looking at myself analyzing since you said that.  I think...i know i want the trade off.

I just fear intimacy with a man later with scars.  I am sure this is normal thinking and I will work through this.  I am working through this now by talking about it here  thank you so much for your support;

Well, men seem to deal with C-section scars, mastectomies, and other surgery scars.  I don't see why a tummy tuck scar should be any different.  And the scars will definitely go through an ugly healing stage early out, but they calm down pretty fast and fade.  Never invisible, but far from Frankenstein's monster-like.  We worry more about the scars then any partners do.

You poor girl you've been through so much!  Do not worry about the weight gain...it is done.  Go back on program...protein and veggies.  You will need the protein to heal so just consider that you are getting ready for surgery just like you did bariatric surgery.  Use shakes if it makes it easier.  Take heart that 1/2 that weight could be water weight (let's pray that is true!).  With the lipo the doc can suck out the extra tummy weight if needed.  All of this is fixable.  What you need to focus on is proper nutrition...are you taking your vitamins? Good mental health...do you have the support you need now that 'jerk-face' left you hanging? And home support...the first week home is going to be the hard one pain wise if it's anything like what my friend went through.

You already have scars...who doesn't from being overweight.  These ones will be different but they will fade and in a couple of years will barely be noticable.  I have scars for another reason and trust me they do face and you get so used to them you don't even see them anymore.

You can do this and you will find lots of support here.  Don't be afraid to come here.  Very few people are unsupportive and there is a great "block" button for those that are.

God bless,

Michelle

I am so sorry to read about all the difficulties you have recently been through.  If you want, PM me and we can talk off line, but in truth, I really think you need to wait.  It might not be what you want to hear now, but I really think it would be in your best interest on multiple levels.  I say this will love and respect and I will support any choice you end up making, but I think your body needs a break and PS is a really big deal health wise.  Again, I am more than willing to talk to you on the phone and help you strategize about this if you want to.  I really am coming from a good place, no criticism at all, just problem solving.

Oh Elina, x0x0x0x0x0x0

you are one of the few people here I was embarrassed to admit this too. But also knew that I could.  :)

Your an amazing woman and have had the pleasure to meet you. I just looked at your photos... WOW   simply Gorgeous & sexy with alot of class.   You went from a scrapbooker to a super model!!!  hey and I am a scrapbooker!!!  lol

I checked in back in some time ago, maybe 6 months ago mentioning plastics here and remember even asking you in a PM. I am sorry i never got back to you.  I ended up waiting, thought about it, and needed to recover from my pain and lame leg.  Now that I am 90 to 95%  healed/recovered the remainder just might be permanent nerve damage just from CIPRO antibiotics that attacks the nervous system.  ( look up adverse effects CIPRO, Leviquin  etc  Fluroquinolone toxicity syndrome.  My x sister in laws husband got the same thing a week later than I and we traced it back to cipro and had many tests.  I even get IV vitamin injections.  i even know all the surprising foods that I eat that give me inflammation in other words allergic to.  i have had countless tests.  So all that said, what i healed is about all I am going to get. I am hoping not.

Yesterday i broke out in a low fever 99.8 and I had a cold. my girlfriends husband just got back from tour and he was sick and I know I caught it from him.

I will PM you....  I am glad to see your still here.  We neeeeed you!

I was freaking out a bit knowing the surgery is close, and started to feel sick. I think I made up my decision and going to go through with it.  I am not that much bigger and this is new weight. I just changed my eating from green smoothies veggies clean eating protein to junk to sum it up and sugar. boy those steroids are the trigger.  its like a 420 smoker getting the munchies.  I know now that I am back to eating clean and focus on that my body will do what its going to do.  just like it did when i ate junk. i honestly believe that.
