Has Anyone Successfully Eaten Steak 6 Months to a Year Post-Op?
I was allowed beef and pork three months post op. I started eating it at that time, and had no trouble with it. I, of course, took small bites and chewed carefully, but I actually find steak easier than chicken on my stomach.
best wishes,
Carol

I had some filet at around a month or so out. When my wife was going through this a number of years ago and was having problems tolerating ground beef, the surgeon suggested filet, with his experience being that many find it more easily digestible than ground beef.
One the Mexican food front, there is a lot there that can be VSG friendly. Chipotle soft taco (leaving the tortilla behind at that stage,) was my first fast-ish food post op, and I had a Mexican restaurant meal fairly early as well - had the filling of an enchilada and a bit of the rice and beans with it, though fajitas took over as a more typical meal at those places (makes for convenient leftovers!)
