Thank you for the saying that. I can't even send back cold fries or overcooked eggs without Lisa sitting there, lol. I do use purple shampoo and I agree it's a toner issue. Looking forward to bright and icy!

Same with me in the hairdresser. I had to go back once for a fix and I fought it and was tying to live with my discomfort until one of the grands said " MP, what's wrong with your hair?"

I can picture that! I fought it too, but in the end the mega bucks I paid is what got me.

I didn't realize it was Thursday until I saw this post title! Thanks for keeping me on track! I am so happy that this job is a great fit. It makes a huge difference in our mental health to be working somewhere functional and to feel like we are qualified and doing a good job. I'm happy for you! And for me, since my situation is similar. I'm working on interesting things with interesting people!

Q: Hmmmmm I'd quit the job I just said I like LOL. I'd travel the world, learning languages, and giving donations a la Mackenzie Scott - "no strings attached, I trust you to manage your nonprofit". Imagine how good that would feel?!

dinner last night was as fun as expected and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I had a few bites of a bunch of stuff, but no desserts. Lots of wine however. I'm dragging today.

B: eggs and cheese

L: boars head turkey sandwich

D: hmmm leftovers for DH and DD so I'll scrape something up. Maybe chicken cilantro wontons in broth.

No gym today, a west coaster set up a call at 5 my time so I can't do either afternoon class.
Have a fabulous day, y'all!

Good morning all and Happy Thursday,

Either that's a tiny raccoon or a huge snack cake. It's good to see Bandit celebrating the holidays with appropriate treats.

I'm trying to clean house in my head. I'm trying to reflect on what's truly important to me and reprioritizing things. I started reading Man's Search for Meaning. I would like to find a cause or passion that I can turn into my meaning and establish secure income to make that possible. This also means actively looking for a relationship and exploring new things like online dating. Right now, I have a long list of to do and have decided to cull the list of unnecessary energy to be spent. I have to remind myself that my base level of Maslow are satisfied and i have a lot of Cadillac problems.

Anyway, I'm trying. This depression sucks. I can recognize that I'm at a point where this depression can turn very deep and be life consuming. Thanks for all the well wishes.

QOTD- The first thing I would do would be the 50/50 pledge. Next, I'd establish trusts for my niece, nephew, Brother & SIL, my sister, and Mom. I would purchase a house for my sister. I would acquire a reasonable 3 bedroom house and a 1950s Lincoln with suicide doors. I would keep my 20 year old car as a daily driver. And a moderate appreciation party for everyone in my life. And a prolonged international trip. And dinner at Alinea.

Accountability: none. I have been eating like crap and eating my feelings. It's not a good place to be. It's important I get back on track before I start gaining more weight. Current weight: 241.

B: 1/2 Bagel and lox.

L: Salad with ham and beemster black garlic Gouda.

D: maybe a roast if I have time.

Matt, I'm sorry you are in such a place. Depression does suck. You are doing good things looking for bright spots in your day and I hope each day gets a little easier. You are doing good work!

I'm sorry to hear about the depression. Depression and anxiety are so common, and both would be awful!

I love your comment about dinner at Alinea, btw!!
