Glad everything went okay. I had my surgery on the 27 August. The day after surgery, they did an xray to see if there was leakage. Once I was cleared, I had a day and a half of broth, then went to potato soap, the next day I was on solid food. They gave me ground beef, potatoes with a gravy. I live in Switzerland so they do things a wee bit different here. Enjoy your journey, I know I am. Cheers Kimberly

I too had my surgery on the 8 im still on full liquids till I have my 2 week check up..

How long do you stay in the hospital when you have the bypass.

The length of your stay will be decided by your surgeon, and you and how well you are doing, if you don't have open surgery usually it is one or two nights, for open incision it is longer. Good Luck to you!

I had surgery 9/10 and came home Friday. I was walking my butt off and did not use that morphine but 3 times.
