Night eating how to break the cycle?

It might also be worth seeing a psychiatrist.  Night eating disorder and nocturnal sleep related eating disorders are both things worth investigating with a medical professional.  

(I know you won't reply, though, you never do.)

These are behaviors you need to seek a professional for in my opinion. You are allowing yourself to eat in this fashion by giving into cravings. and you are eating very carby things with your comments above which not only make you crave more but stalls your weight loss.

Do you by any chance take ambien to sleep??  I do nd I sleep eat.....sometimes I remember it, and sometimes I don't until I find the signs of it the next morning!  It is a real problem with me too!

I eat four times a day. The last meal is usually because I did not meat my protein goal and is often late. It was hard at first not to snack, especially since I can eat so little at one time but the nutritionist explained how easy it was to fall back into old habits. Grazing was not the main reason for my out of control eating but was one of my worse habits.

 

I have found that just waiting 15 minutes before I get or prepare food stops me from eating when I am not actually hungry. Another thing I do is ask myself if I want cottage cheese or tuna and if the answer is no, then I accept that I am not actually hungry and find something else to satiate my boredom.
