That is awesome and I know how hard that can be to do!

My office randomly will have bagels and cream cheese out or donuts or along those lines. An di have to walk by them 85 thousand times in one day and I will have all of those thoughts you did but mainly - I DON'T EAT THAT over and over and over and over until they are gone.

Good for you. That's how you will build a life long way of living healthy :)

You are RIGHT. Those cupcakes ARENT for you. They are for the birthday colleague and if you take even ONE you are STEALING. You arent a thief are you?  You are STEALING from the birthday boy and you are STEALING a better future FROM yourself.

 

Good for you for staying out of the cupcakes.

Hooray for you for resisting! I find what works for me better than anything is getting mad. "Don't you try and trick me with a moment's pleasure into derailing my plan! FU you lousy little tricksters!!" This especially works well for buy one get one (or even two!) free specials, only there I'm yelling at the store, not the food. 

Silly, maybe, but it helps me.

Omg today there are donuts!  But it's ok I don't eat that.

Vsg April 25th 2016 with Benjamin Shadle.

8/22/2016 Lost 60.1 since surgery.  Lost 78.2 overall.

Goals:  1)Get under 300 - done!  Yeah!  2) Get under 280 (Yeah met this on 8/10/16) 3)Get under 268 (stay tuned!)

I pick up a coffee everyday on my way into the office from drive through.  I was so tempted today to order 2 donut holes.  I didn't, but it was on the tip of my tongue.  Yay for us!

This is a great post.

I would add to the self talk: "those cupcakes aren't important. Cupcakes don't make me feel better when I'm sad or bored. Those cupcakes can't bring me real happiness".

Good for you - but for me - they would not be near my office door.  I should be more mature than that - but I would play it safe.   Let them distract some skinny-minnie down the hall who didn't go through what you did.

Also, "LAST CALL on these cupcakes - there are two left.  Looks like no one wants them.  I may as well throw them out." That would get them snapped up and out of my hair.
