She doesn't force me it's rather I force myself. I would be a hermit if possible so it's something I actively work on to not stay home all the time.

Interesting. Maybe it's something you can change your mindset about? Treat it like a workout -- it's a social workout that you do for yourself...and sometimes you choose not to do, also for yourself.

Being a drunk and out loud singer of that song made that meme very funny to me this morning. Thank you I needed it.

Good morning and happy Monday! It's the last Monday in March, isn't that wild?

qotd - I love to drive. Nothing like the open road, loud music and a full tank of gas. when I commute to work or run errands around town, I get through my audibles or podcasts but for a long drive it's all music!

QJB, waymo Already exists, do you not have it there? It's self driving Uber, essentially.

i have my rowing in this morning, my three cups of coffee down and I will need to go out and shoveled some snow once it's daylight. Not a lot of snow, only a couple of inches but our wind is high and we're seeing intermittent ground blizzards but they should let up later today.

menu today

Cottage cheese with crunchy Jif

turkey and potato leftovers

Cheese, olives and peppers from the olive bar

have a magnificent Monday everyone!

John used waymo when he was in Phoenix a few months ago and thought it was so cool. It was also much cheaper than paying for parking at the arena they were going to for a hockey game.

Good morning, everybody!

I skipped the gym Friday. I never intended to play Dodgeball because I just hadn't done the wrench-work, but it was snowy and sleety and by the time I got done walking home from the train I was freezing. Just had leftovers and watched TV. I ended up making up Friday's workout in addition to Sunday's regular scheduled activities. I really like this 24 hour access app that opens the gym doors. But I'm dragging this morning because of it.

Marilyn made it home on Saturday night. She and my son had a nice visit, but it was freezing in Boston last week, I guess. Yesterday we were able to successfully fix the toilet. It was only replacing a plastic piece, but anytime I attempt any plumbing repair and don't make the problem worse, I consider it a win. Watched a fair amount of March Madness, but not intently. It was on, and when I was in the room I watched.

There is this show on our local Public TV called Check Please! It's three new guests each week, and each guest picks a favorite restaurant. People can pick anything from Hot Dog stands to Michelin starred restaurants. Each couple visits the three restaurants and the guests reconvene on the show to discuss their experiences. This week there was a French place that looked really good and when I checked out their website they are having a Bordeaux tasting and fixed menu on April 10, so Marilyn and I signed up. It looks really good - oysters, venison, lamb, dessert, all paired with Bordelais wines.

We bought a sheet tray of pre-made lasagna yesterday and didn't look at the price. We got out to the parking lot and realized that it was $36. I did find that I could only eat 1/8 of the sheet for a meal, so on a per serving basis it was actually pretty reasonable.

QOTD: I like bombing around my town, and sometimes like long drives. What I can't stand is the city traffic commute, which is why I have been taking the train 100% for the last year. I'm actually contemplating driving Friday, because i think that there will be no traffic with the Easter weekend.

Breakfast: Bagel

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: TBD - our cupboards are bare with Marilyn being away.

Have a great day, all!

I'm glad Marilyn and your son had a nice visit. I made John a lasagna yesterday-it had been awhile since I made one.
