That's a good life motto. I want a bumper sticker that says, "just when you feel like giving up it's time to dig in!"

Thanks! You are 100% right on the money. I am the one who got me here and I'm the only one who can get me anywhere I need to be. Yesterday was pretty great for eating and so will today!

Hi beautiful people! I've been lurking this week since I'm out of town. I head home tonight and can't wait to be in my own bed so hopefully I can wake up rested like you, Queen!

Qotd: 1.25 or 1.5 always. Otherwise they talk so damn slow! I work for a startup and one of our founders listens at 3x! He's insane though. Haha.

My last day on the road is a bit of an uncertain menu. We have leftover pizza in the hotel fridge. I can take it home with me for the kiddos. I might get a sandwich for lunch and then eat the other half on the train tonight. I guess that covers today's meals! I'm craving turkey or chicken so I must be needing some protein. I'll make it happen!

No exercise for me but I'm signed up for classes at my gym tomorrow and Saturday. It always makes me feel better.

Have a wonderful day yall. Hug your people and tell them you love them.

Good morning ~ Congrats on the great sleep! That's a bummer about both restaurants. We have very few tried and true places that we frequent but we don't go out to eat that often. My work seems more manageable than usual. Organizing and fine tuning does that for me. I have some unit changes coming that I need to work on still. The new person we had coming on board in April has accepted a promotion in their current department. We moved on to the #2 on our list, they accepted and have moved on to background investigations. It puts my plan out a few more weeks, but that is probably a good thing - more time to fine tune.

QOTD - Regular speed for me please. I have accidentally hit the speed up thing and I scramble to put it back to normal! It sounds distorted.

Accountability - great, perfect, angel - even skipped my snack! However, 184.4 today.

b- coffee, yogurt, berries, protein granola

l - ham and cheese on toasted protein bread w/let/tom/pickle

d- chicken tender fajitas w/peppers on zero tortillas

s- cucumbers dipped in ranch seasoning, small apple

Have a great day

I love the positivity of using the "extra" time to continue the improvements.

Good morning, everybody!

I did get in for my second Hepatitis B shot yesterday. It was pretty easy except for the mix-up with the orders, but not a painful shot or anything. I think that I need about three more vaccinations before we leave for our trip and then one when I return. I've worked out hard for five days in a row, so today is a much needed rest day. Just work and March Madness on the agenda.

I watched this movie called Tomorrow Man. It was about a romance between a Doomsday Prepper and a Hoarder, and the baggage, both physical and figurative, that they each bring into the relationship. It was pretty cute, but I can't imagine starting over and getting into new relationships at this age. Meeting people, going on dates, navigating pauses in the relationship, first kiss, when to call each other, navigating space, meeting each other's families for the first time, I can't even imagine how to go through that process at this age. Also, the lead actress is Gwyneth Paltrow's Mom. I didn't realize that.

QOTD: I have only listened to one podcast in my life and one audiobook. I wasn't aware that they had speeds. We had a guy in our office who was every bit as podcast-y as on the Podcast guy commercial. I always felt guilty telling him that I hadn't had any time to listen to more Podcasts.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Catered

Dinner: a hamburger was in the white wrapping, so that is going to be dinner

Have a great day, all!

I feel the same way about relationships at our age. They're so much work during the first year or so. If anything happens to DH, I'll probably just go it alone. I have enough women friends and am involved in enough things that it's not like I'd be sitting at home every day twiddling my thumbs. Plus I enjoy my "alone" time, so there's that.
